valla-the-demon-hunter-store-thumbnailValla debuted in the short story titled “Hatred and Discipline” written by Blizzard Entertainment publishing lead Micky Neilson. Follow the link to read it at the official Diablo III website.

The short story was reprinted within the pages of the eBook titled Diablo III: Heroes Rise, Darkness Falls (available on PC/Mac, Kindle and other Devices).

The latest appearance of Valla the Demon Hunter was in the pages of Diablo III: Storm of Light by Nate Kenyon. This novel is a Reaper of Souls novel tie-in bridging the gap between Diablo III and the expansion. Tyrael has sensed the Black Soulstone is corrupting the High Heavens and changing the Angiris Council. For this matter, Tyrael recruited a team of heroes in Sanctuary to raid the High Heavens in order to steal the Black Soulstone.

The heroes recruited by Tyrael are: Valla the Demon Hunter, Zayl the Necromancer, Gynvir the Barbarian, Shanar the Wizard, Mikulov the Monk and Jacob of Staalbreak. Shortly after the events of this novel, Tyrael and the new Horadrim deposit the Black Soulstone deep within the Bloodmarch in Westmarch (as seen in the Reaper of Souls cinematic).

“As long as this world is plagued by demons, my hunt will continue.”

“If you hunt demons long enough, the demons hunt you.”

“My training never prepared me for all this… poking.”

“Are you quite done? You never touch the night elf demon hunters like that.”

“Hm, you lack discipline.”

“Not enough hatred. Just kidding, I hate you a bunch right now.”

“(Tristram musical ringtone) Hello? Who is this? I don’t know any “Darkness”. Look, I think you’ve got the wrong demon hunter. Yeah. Yeah, good bye.”

“Be vewy vewy quiet. I’m hunting demons. (evilish chuckle)” (Reference: Elmer the Hunter, Bugs Bunny)

Hero Quests

Basic Hero Quests

Basic Hero Quests are unique to each Hero. Usually they are focused on using a spell/ability “X” amount of times against any enemy Hero; and the last one asks you to play 10 games with your Hero.

Epic Hero Quests

The Epic Hero Quests are not available until you reach level 10, and until your Hero has completed the 3 Basic Hero Quests. These are not unique for each hero. All Heroes must complete the same Epic Hero Quests.
