Tyrande Profile

Tyrande Whisperwind strikes fear into all who wish ill of the Kaldorei. As the highest ranking Sentinel and High Priestess of Elune, she is not only the Night Elves' most deadly warrior, but also their most cunning leader.

Marks enemy targets by attacking and heals allies that attack them. Summons owls to scout out enemy positions.

Tyrande Whisperwind debuted in the Night Elves campaign playable in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.

Her story can be read in the WarCraft War of the Ancients novel by Richard A. Knaak.

Tyrande ventured into the Emerald Dream to reach the Nightmare in order to rescue Malfurion Stormrage's dreamform in the pages of World of Warcraft: Stormrage by Richard A. Knaak.

A peerless hunter by moonlight and the chosen of the goddess Elune, Tyrande has led the night elves in war for ages. Tyrande was born thousands of years ago and grew up in the company of Malfurion and Illidan Stormrage. She answered the call of the Sisters of Elune, followers of the night elves' Goddess of the Moon, and became a novice priestess, while the Stormrage brothers followed different paths. Their destinies merged anew when the Burning Legion arrived on Azeroth.

Tyrande and Malfurion grew close and battled against the invading demons together, but Illidan pursued a darker path, feigning allegiance to the Burning Legion and succumbing to the temptations of power. After the defeat of the Legion and the Sundering, Tyrande and Malfurion helped rebuild elven society; Illidan was imprisoned beneath Mount Hyjal.

The couple could not remain together for long; soon after the night elves settled near Mount Hyjal, Malfurion and the other night elf druids were needed in the Emerald Dream. While Malfurion slept in the Dream, Tyrande commanded her people, forming the Sentinels – the night elven army – to guard their lands and allies.

During the Third War, Tyrande sent her Sentinels to deter the advances of the Horde in Kalimdor, but ultimately ended up working with them to battle the armies of the Burning Legion, an effort that also forced her to awaken the druids, including Malfurion, from the Emerald Dream. Their time together was cut short when the elder Stormrage suffered from the corruption of the Dream, but Tyrande joined her lover to defeat the menace, and they both returned to Azeroth, where they protected their people (and the other races of the Alliance) from the destruction caused by Deathwing and the advances of Garrosh Hellscream in Kalimdor.

These are the voice over quotes repeated by Tyrande Whisperwind when the player clicks on her multiple times. Here is a transcript courtesy of Cemotucu.

"The Goddess calls."

"Anu therador mali. Do not presume that just because I'm a priestess my fury has been checked."

"Here, hold this apple for a moment... Alright, now put it on your head. Perfect."

"It's been a while since I used this bow. Would you hold this apple for a moment? I'm a little out of practice."

"This is my owl. There are many like it, but this one reveals foes."

"I'm celebrating my 29th birthday next week... for the 8th thousand time."

"You know, when women run things in Kalimdor we experienced an era of peace, THEN the men woke up and now we face a new war every other year."

"[Doorbell rings] Greetings, my name is Tyrande and this is Shandris. Do you have some spare time to talk about Elune?"

"What the...? How long have this leaves being in my hear?"

"I am High Priestess Tyrande, Champion of Justice. In the name of Elune, I'll punish you!"

"Goddess, make me fast and accurate. Let my aim be true, and if today you call me home. Let me die with an empty quiver. I could use another millennium or two of guild time."

"Malfurion and I have one rule that defines our relationship: NO shapeshifting. I'm not into that."

Gameplay Video

Swift Sweep allows Auriel to do faster hit-and-run attacks with Sacred Sweep. This is the main generator for her hope resource.

Repeated Offense increases the damage of her Detainment Strike stuns. This ability allows you to knock enemy Heroes against a wall or object to stun them for a few seconds. You should stick to a friendly heavy-DPS player or tank (i.e. Sgt. Hammer, Kerrigan, Cho’gall, Diablo). Stunning the enemy allows your team to secure a kill.

Energized Cord increases the amount of energy Auriel can store, which is good for healing several times in hairy encounters such as defending an objective.

Resurrect can be tricky, but you can bring a friendly DPS or tank hero back to life to continue defending an objective.

Repelling Strike is crucial for unexpected knock backs against a wall for a guaranteed stun. It pushes them 35% further.

Reservoir of Hope further expands your max energy storage capacity.

Angelic Flight is more an utility talent than one that allows you to escape pursuit. Don’t waste it. You are better off mounting up and fleeing after hitting an enemy with Detainment Strike. Angelic Flight takes longer than mounting up, and you might end up getting killed while casting it. Instead, use Angelic Flight in situations where you need a quick heal at the base, and go back to your team using this talent. Or when you respawn, to reach your team quickly, use this ability. In addition, if your team is struggling to kill an enemy hero who is fleeing, you can use Angelic Flight to move ahead of the enemy hero, then swat him back into your team with Detainment Strike. They won’t see that coming.

In this video, I managed to top my team and even the enemy team with 32 assisted kills.

At Leve 1, Reverberation causes Thunder Clap to reduce Attack Speed by 50 sec for 3 sec. This in turn reduces the amount of damage taken in the lane at the start of the game, which increases survivability. Just be careful of ambushes and especially Zeratul or Nova, or both simultaneously.

Thunder Burn is very helpful against lane minions creating a zone on the ground that explodes 2 seconds later.

Battle Momentum is pretty good reducing ability cooldowns by 0.5 sec on top of Reverberation which reduces attack speed by 50%.

Avatar increases survivability by gaining extra health. It might be best to use it in certain situations like the tribute (Cursed Hollow), shrine (Dragon Shire), and Blackheart’s chest — where there are intensive fights.

Thunder Strike does 300% damage if you hit only one target. Let’s see that in perspective — At level 13, Thunder Clap does 154 damage normally. With this talent, it actually does 462 damage instead. At level 20, Thunder Clap does 210 damage normally. WIth this talent it does 630 damage. Nazeebo for example, has 3590 Health at level 20. Thus, a 630 damage Thunder Clap would be around a 1/5th of his Health. If a single target is fleeing, you can use Dwarf Toss to reach him, then Thunder Clap. The Thunder Burn Talent causes the Thunder Clap to slow by 25% for 2.5 sec, so that you can keep hitting the target.

Stoneform heals for 50% over 8 sec, but Second Wind is disabled. Might be useful along with Avatar.

Lastly, Rewind. Go in with Avatar, and hit Stoneform. Hit Thunder Clap, then Rewind, and Thunder Clap again. That way you reduce enemies Attack Speed by 50% for 6 seconds instead of 3.

The Lost Vikings Talents | Heroes of the Storm

The Lost Vikings Talents | Heroes of the StormThe Lost Vikings are back! While they briefly considered retirement after defeating the emperor Tomator, there were only so many polar bears they could wrestle before falling into a Nexus portal seemed like a solid life decision.

Difficulty: Very Hard

Three Heroes in one! Can focus their efforts or split up to cover more ground. Lowered death timers.

It was a day that the members of the Viking village looked forward to every year.

On this day everyone in the village celebrated the autumn harvest with contests of bravery and skill throughout the afternoon followed by a grand feast at dusk.

The most anticipated event of the day was the hunt. In this competition the best huntsmen from the village venture into the wilderness to see who could catch the most game for the evenings feast. By noon all the participants had arrived at the starting point of the hunt except for three Vikings who lived just outside the village. Since their tardiness was nothing new the decision was made to start the hunt without them. Upon hearing the horn indicating the beginning of the competition, Olaf the Stout and his two buddies, Baleog the Fierce and Erik the Swift simply rushed into the forest to prevent the others from having to great a head start.

the-lost-vikings-shopMeanwhile the infamous intergalactic zookeeper, Tomator, piloted his spacecraft to Earth through a fiery vortex that appeared high above the fjords of the Baltic Sea. Tomator was sure that he could find adequate specimens for his zoo on this tiny planet. He commanded his ship to begin its descent as he made preparations to go on a hunt of his own.

As Olaf the Stout, Baleog the Fierce and Erik the Swift walked home from the feast they were still bragging about their triumphs in the hunt. When each brother had finished claiming that he was a better hunter than the other two they retired to their cottages oblivious to the strange flying object that has appeared directly over their village.

Tomator brought his craft closer to the ground trying to locate the three specimens that he had previously choosen. He had noticed them earlier when they appeared to be the victors of some primative ritual of skill and strength. After a few minutes, Tomator’s computer located the selected humans and began to teleport his unsuspecting captives aboard his ship.

Erik the swiftest of the Vikings was awakened suddenly to find himself suspended above his bed and being pulled upward. Despite his efforts to resist, he was drawn through the top of his hut and into the night sky. Next, Olaf the Stout and Baleog the Fierce experienced the same fate as they too were pulled from their beds towards the strange metallic object in the sky.

With the acquisition complete, Tomator took his craft out of orbit. Due to a short circuit in the teleportation process, the Vikings materialized in the corridors of Tomators ship rather than in his specimen room. Now the Vikings’ only hope to return home is the use of their skills and the strange vortices that can carry them through time and space.

Your story begins with the three Lost Vikings aboard Tomator’s ship and only with your help and expertise can they find their way back home again.

You must guide the Lost Vikings through the complex maze of Tomator’s spacecraft. Use Erik’s speed, Baleog’s weaponry, and Olaf’s defensive abilities to help return these poor lost souls to their village.

Thrall Talents and Abilities

As a child, Thrall served the cruel Aedelas Blackmoore as a slave. After gaining his freedom, he guided the liberated orcs to a land of their own, and worked to recover their ancient traditions. Now and forever he is the Warchief of the Horde.

Thrall Talents and AbilitiesThe former slave known as Thrall brought unity to the Horde, turning ravagers into architects and securing a future for his people.
“Thrall” was the moniker bestowed on the young orc Go’el in his first home — an internment camp created to keep the orc prisoners of the Second War from ever threatening Azeroth again — and the name could not be less fitting.

When Go’el escaped his prison, he traveled in search of not just aimless freedom but his roots, eventually finding wisdom in the shamanic beliefs of his ancestors.
Thrall’s shamanism guided his actions as he re-formed the Horde, becoming its warchief and leading his people to settle in an arid land that he called Durotar, in honor of his father, Durotan.

Thrall led the Horde through a seemingly unceasing series of trials: the lifting of the demonic blood-curse that had tainted the orcs, a Burning Legion attack on Mount Hyjal, and the fall of the dreaded Lich King. When Deathwing returned and shattered the world, Thrall stepped down from his role as the Horde’s warchief, instead joining the Earthen Ring, a powerful shamanic group, in an attempt to put the elements to rest and stop the Destroyer.

Thrall chose Garrosh Hellscream as his successor, and that decision haunted him as the ruthlessness of the new warchief brought the Horde to the point of insurrection. Garrosh’s defeat, the birth of Thrall’s son, and the emergence of a new warchief seem to have had a rejuvenating effect. Whole once more, Thrall now readies himself to combat a truly personal threat to all Azeroth, as a savage reflection of his people roars forth from a universe beyond.
