Origin

valla-the-demon-hunter-store-thumbnailValla debuted in the short story titled “Hatred and Discipline” written by Blizzard Entertainment publishing lead Micky Neilson. Follow the link to read it at the official Diablo III website.

The short story was reprinted within the pages of the eBook titled Diablo III: Heroes Rise, Darkness Falls (available on PC/Mac, Kindle and other Devices).

The latest appearance of Valla the Demon Hunter was in the pages of Diablo III: Storm of Light by Nate Kenyon. This novel is a Reaper of Souls novel tie-in bridging the gap between Diablo III and the expansion. Tyrael has sensed the Black Soulstone is corrupting the High Heavens and changing the Angiris Council. For this matter, Tyrael recruited a team of heroes in Sanctuary to raid the High Heavens in order to steal the Black Soulstone.

The heroes recruited by Tyrael are: Valla the Demon Hunter, Zayl the Necromancer, Gynvir the Barbarian, Shanar the Wizard, Mikulov the Monk and Jacob of Staalbreak. Shortly after the events of this novel, Tyrael and the new Horadrim deposit the Black Soulstone deep within the Bloodmarch in Westmarch (as seen in the Reaper of Souls cinematic).

Heroes of the Storm – Nova – Talents

nova-portrait

Backstory

November “Nova” Terra is a ghost of the Terran Dominion and one of the most powerful psionic soldiers ever known. Nova is highly focused, determined, and extremely deadly. Even Jim Raynor wouldn’t want to be caught within her crosshairs.

Description

Automatically cloaks while out of combat. Snipes enemies from afar, and creates Decoys of herself to fool enemies.

Store Cost: 10,000 gold | $9.99

Role: Ranged Assassin

Difficulty: Medium

History

nova-store-thumbnailNovember “Nova” Terra spent the best parts of her youth as the golden child of one of Tarsonis’ wealthy Old Families. Though she exhibited signs of burgeoning psionic potential, Nova’s parents insisted that she was merely sensitive or “empathetic,” hoping to keep her abilities a secret (as much from the Ghost Academy that would conscript their child as from Nova herself).

When her family was violently betrayed and her telekinetic powers became destructively apparent, Nova was forced into hiding in the crime-ridden slums of Tarsonis’ Gutter. The story of Nova’s emergence from the Gutter is apocryphal, but the burden of psionic abilities and the pain of her family’s ruin led her to seek refuge among the very Ghosts her parents hoped to keep her from.

Supremely dedicated, Nova excelled as a trainee in the Ghost Academy on Ursa, eventually earning the questionable reward of a mind-wipe that erased all recollection of her tragic youth – and the majority of her long-term memory with it.

As a full-fledged Ghost operative, Nova’s duties have included battling zerg, investigating the psionic killers known as Spectres, and even dealing with noted enemy of the people Jim Raynor. Her service record has seen her assigned tasks of increasing importance to the leadership of the Dominion, and she stands ready to be dispatched on missions that will make her past pale in comparison.

Origin

Nova was first introduced in StarCraft: Ghost, an FPS video game developed originally by Nihilistic & Blizzard Entertainment. The video game was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2002. The game was later transferred to Swingin’ Ape Studios. Blizzard Entertainment acquired the studios time later, and in 2006 the game was deemed postponed (not cancelled).

The novel was meant to ship the same day as the game, but the game was postponed. Nevertheless, Blizzard and Pocket Star Books decided to launch the novel months later, on November 28, 2006 … Starcraft: Ghost–Nova by Keith R.A. DeCandido.

Nova was also featured in the Tokyopop manga StarCraft: Ghost–Academy Vol. 1-3. Nova was introduced as an NPC in a cutscene shown in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and the player controls her as a unit during an optional mission. Nova also appears briefly in the initial missions of StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

”Nova here.”

“Don’t have all day.”

“No, I am not Kerrigan… and if I had my own game, you’d know that.”

“A Ghost’s first and best weapon is her mind. Everything else is supplemental.”

“If they’re not dead, it’s just because I haven’t killed them yet.”

“What can I say? I do have the best equipment.”

“Watch where you’re clicking! I’m not just some piece of assassin.”

“You ever hear the one about the… is that a nuclear launch I detect, or are you just glad to see me?”

“Well all day long at Ghost Academy, all I hear is how great Sarah is at this, or how wonderful Kerrigan did at that. Kerrigan, Kerrigan, Kerrigan!”

“One shot, center mass. Pew.”

“Boo.”

“You think you have issues with your parents? Clearly you haven’t heard my story.”

“I can’t believe I made out with Tosh. Wait, was I mind-wiped in that manga? I always forget.”

“Blondes have more fun! See? So fun!”

Heroes of the Storm – Kerrigan – Talents

kerrigan-portrait

Backstory

Once a terran ghost with formidable psionic abilities, Sarah Kerrigan was betrayed by her allies and transformed by the zerg into the Queen of Blades. Now freed of the dark one’s corruption, Kerrigan faces a threat that could destroy the galaxy itself.

Description: An aggressive hero that gains temporary shielding by attacking enemies and using her abilities. Able to stun enemies and pull them towards her.

Store Cost: 10,000 gold | $9.99

Role: Melee Assassin

Difficulty: Medium

History

kerrigan-store-thumbnailNo single human being has been more inseparably tied to the twisted destinies of the terran, protoss, and zerg races than Sarah Kerrigan. Potent psionic abilities, unmatched courage, sharp tactical instincts, and lethal training in both melee combat and ballistic weaponry led to Kerrigan’s quick rise through the ranks of the Confederate ghost program.

Dark forces combined to bring her under the sway of the zerg Overmind, but the same courage and tenacity that she had shown as a ghost, and later as a rebel against the Confederacy, brought about her dominance of the alien sentient. Now she holds the reins of the Swarm and commands an innumerable army of monstrous creatures poised to sweep mankind from the Koprulu sector.

Sarah Louise Kerrigan discovered the strength of her latent psionic gift as a young girl. An innocent flash of childish anger at her parents resulted in massive cerebral hemorrhaging and a horrific death for her mother. Her father would only repeat one thing over and over again in the ensuing years: “I saw her head come apart.” This gruesome event alerted the Terran Confederacy to her powers, and she quickly became the focus of the fledgling ghost program. Because she had reached unheard-of scores on psi-evaluation tests, her abilities elicited a complete readjustment of the scoring system so that she could be properly measured. The remnants of her humanity were stripped from her, and Kerrigan was designated Ghost Number 24601.

Following her emergence from the ghost program, she became an unstoppable assassin for the corrupt Confederate government. It was her assassination of the independent senator Angus Mengsk that brought her to the attention of his ambitious son, Arcturus. At first wishing to extract revenge from Kerrigan for his father’s murder, Arcturus soon realized that she was much more useful as a weapon against the Confederacy. After rescuing her from a clandestine experimental facility, he removed her neural inhibitor and used her restored memories to build righteous anger against the government that had abused her. Kerrigan and Mengsk became allies.

She was running a mission on Antiga Prime when she first came across one-time Confederate marshal Jim Raynor, a new recruit to the Sons of Korhal. He disapproved of her lethal dealings with the Confederacy, but the conflict between the two soon grew into mutual respect, admiration, and even… something more. Kerrigan and Raynor ran several secret missions together before Mengsk’s revolutionary movement brought them to Tarsonis. Even Kerrigan’s jaded sensibilities were shocked when she learned what Arcturus had planned for the Confederate capital world: the placement of psi emitters to lure the zerg to one of the most densely populated planets in the sector. It would result in the death of almost every living thing on Tarsonis. Voicing her opposition, she nonetheless set about loyally fulfilling her mission to protect the hive clusters from a mysterious new alien enemy, the protoss. Mengsk would take advantage of that loyalty, abandoning her to die on Tarsonis when the mission was complete. He couldn’t run the risk of having a powerful weapon like Kerrigan running loose in the shadow of his new government, and he couldn’t resist the chance to claim some vengeance long overdue. This betrayal enraged Raynor; he left the revolution, swearing revenge.

Little did Arcturus Mengsk suspect that he had just succeeded in arming the zerg against him.

The zerg Overmind sensed Kerrigan’s formidable psionic powers and desired to adapt this new weapon for the Swarm. Bringing all of the evolutionary strength of its genetic skill to bear upon the one-time ghost, the Overmind transformed Sarah Kerrigan into an unstoppable combination of psychic ability and biological deadliness: the Queen of Blades was born.

Not wanting to hamper Kerrigan’s intellectual and strategic brilliance, the Overmind left her a degree of individual will that differed from its cerebrates. It was this freedom that allowed her ambitions to rise, and before long, the Queen of Blades conquered her cerebrate kin and took charge of the Swarm when the Overmind was slain.

Now Kerrigan moves the zerg toward an unknown future. Ancient prophecies foretold her coming. The sense and meaning behind these prophecies are vague, but make no mistake: countless billions of lives are bound to the destiny of Sarah Kerrigan.

Heroes of the Storm – Tassadar (Ranged Support)

tassadar-portrait

Backstory

An Executor without equal, Tassadar has fought tirelessly to purify the Koprulu sector of the zerg infestation. Only now, after learning to wield the shadowy powers of the void, is Tassadar finally ready to face the Overmind and its all-consuming Swarm.

Role

Tassadar fills the role of a Ranged Support in Heroes of the Storm. Among his duties in the field is to grant a temporary shield to an ally, detect nearby enemies, and manipulate the battleground for his team.

The description offered in-game sets Tassadar as Very Hard to play.

I have used Tassadar in a couple different ways. Either I stick around with other players to help them mitigate damage taken, give my allies a larger view range of where the enemy is, or I can instead focus on killing mercenaries while my team is keeping the enemy team distracted.

History

heroes-tassadar-frameTassadar is a protoss of the Templar caste who oversaw and protected the lesser races, or executed them when required or commanded to do so.

His fascination for the Terran race was absolute, even leading him to disobey extreme orders from Aldaris and the protoss conclave.

Tassadar set flame to planet Mar Sara in order to purify it from the zerg infestation.

After desobeying a direct order from the conclave, Tassadar went rogue and befriended ex-Marshal Jim Raynor and the dark templar Zeratul.

Although, the dark templar were perceived as heretics by the templars, Tassadar listened to Zeratul’s side of the story, and even learned the way of the dark templar.

Using his new found hybrid philosophies of both sides of the templar, Tassadar sacrificed by concentrating all of his psionic might against the zerg Overmind.

Tassadar claimed he hasn’t tasted death nor will he, meaning he has trascended the mortal realm into a mysterious psionic or ethereal state — communicating from the beyond.

Tassadar communicated with Zeratul at the site of the Overmind’s demise in planet Aiur to reveal the Overmind’s master plan and warned him of impending doom with the rise of the hybrids. That Kerrigan was the Overmind’s way to prevent the coming oblivion to be caused by the dark voice: Amon. (as seen in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty).

    Backstory

Once a mentor to Prince Arthas, Muradin was unable to prevent him from becoming the Lich King. After recovering from a mild case of amnesia, he is now the leader of the Bronzebeard clan post the "diamond-ization" of his brother the King Magni.

    Description

Jumps around the battleground and stuns Heroes. Rapidly regenerates health as he nears death.

    Store Cost: heroes-of-the-storm-gold-icon 2,000 | $3.99

    Role: Melee Warrior

    Difficulty: Medium

    Origins

Muradin was introduced in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (available in the Warcraft III Battle Chest) when Prince Arthas found him in Northrend. Muradin helped Prince Arthas fight the Undead Scourge, and shortly after reprimanded his former disciple when Arthas ordered mercenaries to burn down the Alliance fleet to prevent his men from retreating after recall orders from King Terenas' emissary. Muradin disliked how Arthas ordered his men to kill the same mercenaries that helped him burn the ships. However, continued to help him search for the fabled Frostmourne runeblade.

    muradin-store-thumbnail

When Muradin translated the inscription in the dais holding Frostmourne, he quickly warned Prince Arthas the runeblade was cursed and that they should leave immediately. Arthas chanted a plea to the sword Frostmourne. The ice covering the dais exploded, and a large chunk hit Muradin on the head. Prince Arthas wielded Frostmourne and left Muradin behind thinking him dead.

Muradin awoke shortly after without a trace of his memories as revealed in a vision at the Frostmourne Cavern in the Dragonblight (World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King). Time later, the amnesiac Muradin was sheltered by the Frostborn (Frost dwarves) and became their leader. During an escape from the Engine of the Makers in Storm Peaks, Brann Bronzebeard and a hero flew away and landed on Frosthold. Brann recognized his brother Muradin. Their talk caused Muradin to recover his memory and helped the Argent Crusade and the Alliance to fight against the Icecrown Citadel.

Shortly, after the Shattering, King Magni was transformed into a diamond during a ritual meant to allow him to become one with the earth to commune and find out what caused the earthquakes preluding the Cataclysm. Prince Muradin Bronzebeard returned home and took a role in the Council of Three Hammers representing the Bronzebeard house.

Backstory

From the frozen Dreadlands of the north comes the mighty Barbarian warriors. After surviving the destruction of her home and the death of her tribe, Sonya wanders Sanctuary in search of battle and a better life for her people.

Store Cost: heroes-of-the-storm-gold-icon 5,500 | $7.49

Role: Melee Warrior

Difficulty: Medium

Origins

I haven’t heard of Sonya before in literature based on the Diablo franchise. Let’s assume she is the Diablo III in-game playable female Barbarian. Considering her name and her redish hair, she is definitely a pop culture reference to The Red Sonja (1985).

The Barbarian is one of the classes of Sanctuary in the Diablo franchise. The Barbarian class was introduced for the first time as a playable class in Diablo II (2000).

sonya-store-thumbnail

The Barbarian

The Barbarian, a member of any of several tribes on the fringes of civilization, rebuffs the influence of those he sees as soft and weak. Ceaseless clan warfare and the constant struggle to survive in the hostile wilderness are evident in the Barbarian’s sturdy and powerful frame. Though perhaps lacking the sophistication of his civilized contemporaries, the Barbarian has an acute awareness of his surroundings. Because of his shamanistic belief in the animal powers with whom he identifies, the Barbarian is sometimes associated with stories of lycanthropy. In fact, he believes that he can improve his superb battle tactics by calling upon the totemic animal spirits to infuse him with supernormal strengths and abilities.

History

Legend says that when the world was very young the tribes of the Northern Steppes were given a sacred charge. Somewhere deep within the great mountain, Arreat, lies a source of great power, crucial to the well being of all humanity. The tribes were tasked to act as guardians of this artifact. They have shaped their way of life in observance of this power and fulfilling their sacred duty.

Steeped in mystery and tradition, these people refer to themselves as the “Children of Bul-Kathos,” the great and ancient king. To better protect their lands from outside forces, they adopted a nomadic lifestyle, frequently moving within the confines of the Steppes and maintaining few permanent settlements. Isolating themselves from the world outside their territories, they eschew the use of magics and complex machinery, as they believe these things can only weaken their resolve developed over so many years.

The Children of Bul-Kathos have developed a kinship with the land and have learned to harness the primal energies within nature to enhance their own substantial physical prowess. It is because of this, together with their freedom from the trappings of the outside world, that the Western Kingdoms have historically referred to these tribes as “Barbarians,” an epithet that belies the rich cultural and spiritual history these people truly possess. Although some trade with these curious bands of nomads, they do so only along the outermost borders of their lands. All intrusions into the territory surrounding Mount Arreat are forbidden, and warriors from the northern tribes are quick to thwart any incursions. Every foreign attempt at conquest has been met with fierce and decisive resistance.

An account of one skirmish recounts how hordes of Barbarian tribesmen silently appeared where none had been but moments before. Their bodies painted in mysterious designs and their faces howling as they charged like the fierce mountain winds, the tribesmen descended on the invaders. Fully half of the trespassing army immediately dropped their weapons and fled, the remainder were set upon by the Northmen with fervor that none of the battle-hardened invaders had ever witnessed. No mercy was asked and none was given, but in the end, when the outlanders sounded a full retreat, no chase was given either… at least none that could be observed.

Since news of Diablo’s re-emergence has spread, a small number of Barbarian warriors have begun roving the lands outside the Steppes, prepared for war and seeking information regarding the recent activities of the Prime Evils.

Traits and Abilities

Renowned for their awesome combat prowess as well as their arrogant demeanor, the Barbarians appear to be perpetually girt for battle. Through harsh conditioning, the Barbarians excel in physical combat and tremendous feats of strength. They derive their power chiefly through intense physical training, but they also tap primal energies from the living world around them. They can manifest these or add to their already considerable catalogue of superhuman feats of strength and power.

”Why do you bother me?”

“Choose your next words carefully.”

“I swear, the next person who names me Barbie on Battle.net gets an axe to the forehead.”

“Bul-Kathos, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one will remember why we fight, or why we die. All that matters is that five stood against five. I ask you, grant me one request. Improve my MMR! If you do not listen, then to hell with you!”

“Let’s see, crush enemies, done. Drive them before me, of course. Hear the lamentations of their women… let’s skip that one.”

“You! Death by snu snu!”

“Blondes may have more fun, but redheads are more fun.”

“Gingers do have souls, okay?”

“I keep killing, but no loot comes out. This game makes no sense.”

“Ever have that nightmare where you’re at work in your underwear? That’s me, every day.”

“If I ever find out who invented the chainmail bikini, I’m going to punch their jaw off their face.”

“Once in my many travels, a pig of a man told me to make him a sandwich. So I sliced him nice and thin.”

    Origins

Diablo debuted in the acclaimed RPG game of all times Diablo (1996) by Blizzard Entertainment. During the Darkening of Tristram, Diablo influenced the hearts of men, focusing on King Leoric the most and driving him insane. Archbishop Lazarus served Diablo in secrecy and attempted to use King Leoric's youngest son Albrecht as the vessel for Diablo. In the events of the video game, a brave warrior fought his way through the lower depths of the Cathedral of Tristram to face the Lord of Terror. The Warrior drove the soulstone housing Diablo's spirit into his forehead to contain his spirit. However, Diablo possessed him body and soul becoming his vessel. In Diablo III, it is revealed that the young Warrior was named Aidan -- eldest son of King Leoric. In the days following the Darkening of Tristram, Aidan was known as The Dark Wanderer. Always traveling east to free Diablo's brothers from their soulstone prisons: Baal and Mephisto. In the end, Diablo was defeated in the Burning Hells. Ever since his spirit remained trapped within the Black Soulstone. It is revealed in Diablo III, that Adria the Witch was in communion with the Lord of Terror as his servant all along. She marked his soul to be dragged into the Black Soulstone. His long-term plan was to one day rise as the Prime Evil with the spirits of the Great and Lesser evils and Leah the Nephalem empowering him. Several novels are based on the Diablo universe: Some of them are contained in a collection of four novels in the Diablo Archive (which contains: Legacy of Blood, The Black Road, The Kingdom of Shadow and Demonsbane).

Heroes of the Storm – Arthas (Melee Warrior) – Talents

Backstory

arthas-portraitOnce the crown prince of Lordaeron, and protege of Uther the Lightbringer, Prince Arthas was corrupted by the cursed blade Frostmourne in a desperate bid to save his people. Now he rules over the damned as the Lich King and all shall know his wrath.

Store Cost: heroes-of-the-storm-gold-icon 5,500 | $7.49

Role: Melee Warrior

Origins

Prince Arthas debuted in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and became the Lich King in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (both included in the Warcraft III Battle Chest). The Lich King was the main villain in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King where he met his demise before heroes of the Alliance and the Horde with the assistance of Tirion Fordring and his Argent Crusade.

Arthas made a cameo as a child in the pages of World of Warcraft: Tides of Darkness, when Sir Anduin Lothar and a young Prince Varian Wrynn arrived to the throne of Lordaeron to seek shelter for the refugees of Stormwind shortly after the old Horde decimated the Kingdom. This novel was reprinted in the World of Warcraft: Chronicles of War which collects 4 novels.

In addition, you can learn more about Arthas in the Warcraft III novelization titled World of Warcraft: Arthas: Rise of the Lich King by New York Times best selling author Christie Golden.

Arthas the Lich King made a cameo in the Tokyopop manga Warcraft: Legends Volume 4 (the final story of Trag Highmountain, the tauren death knight). Another flashback cameo as Arthas the Death Knight and as the Lich King in World of Warcraft: The Essential Sunwell Collection by New York Times best selling author Richard A. Knaak.

History

Through demonic punishment, the Lich King was born with a singular objective: controlling the massive throng of undead known as the Scourge.

Ner’zhul was an elder orc shaman who rose as high as warchief of the orc clans of Draenor… and fell low enough to become a slave of the Burning Legion. After the Second War drew to a close, Ner’zhul — guided by visions of death — frantically opened new portals to worlds that the orcish hordes might invade, but the magical stress of creating so many portals at once tore Draenor apart. Ner’zhul escaped the death of his homeworld by fleeing into the nearest rift, only to find the demon Kil’jaeden lying in wait for him. Kil’jaeden had long manipulated Ner’zhul’s visions to guide the orcs down a dark path, and now the demon punished his puppet by destroying Ner’zhul’s body and encasing his spirit in an icy cask that would come to be called the Frozen Throne. This act birthed the Lich King, a spectral presence made to command the Scourge, an army of undead that would serve as the Burning Legion’s advance weapon against Azeroth.

Despite his orders, the Lich King plotted to break free of the Legion’s influence. During the Third War, he summoned Arthas Menethil, the fallen prince of Lordaeron, to serve as his most loyal death knight. When the Lich King was threatened by the forces of Illidan the Betrayer, Arthas traveled to the Frozen Throne of Northrend and broke the ice surrounding his master, donning the Lich King’s helm and merging with him. Years later, the Alliance and Horde would march to destroy the Lich King, but they discovered that the Scourge, now loosed upon Azeroth, would always need a leader. The brave highlord Bolvar Fordragon volunteered to become the new jailor of the damned, dedicating his existence to containing the ravages of the undead.

In some parallel universe out there, Arthas did never succumb to the curse of Frostmourne and the whispers of Ner’zhul the Lich King, and joined either the Horde or the Alliance. Or so it seems.

Strategy

Arthas plays the Melee Warrior role in Heroes of the Storm. Arthas engages with his enemies directly, freezing and slowing them. Summons undead spirits of enemy Heroes he kills to fight for him.

His difficulty is described as medium. Frost Strike (Q) is the main attack ability used to cause direct hit damage and to add a 75% slow debuff on your enemy Hero. I like to enable Frozen Tempest (E) right away. It is an AOE damage aura that spends 8 mana per second and causes 59 damage per sec to anyone caught within the visual circle.

However, I activate Frostmourne Hungers shortly after I enable Frozen Tempest, because it gives me back some of the mana spent. Frostmourne Hungers: Auto-attacks deal an additional 20% damage and grant Arthas 15 mana. Lasts 4 sec (has a 30 sec cooldown). This three-button combo is more effective on Mercenaries who stay static and don’t run away.

However, if you use Howling Blast and your teammates keep enemy heroes crowd controlled long enough, Arthas can do some serious collective damage.

If anything, Arthas has a good survival talents as a melee warrior. The level 1 talents give you the option to pick Path of the Warrior: Your Hero gains an extra 25 health for every level gained. I tend to pick this.

At level 10, you can choose either Army of the Dead or Sindragosa. Sindragosa isn’t exactly the Hyperion (which shoots for long seconds). Sindragosa only breaths frost on enemy heroes, minions and buildings as it sweeps through and that’s it. Not particularly my favorite talent with Arthas. I choose Army of the Dead. Here is why — they help you surround a target, but pressing Army of the Dead (R) a few times will consume one ghoul at a time restoring 630 health to Arthas.

If you are in a scenario where you are fighting 2+ enemy Heroes at once, pop Army of the Dead when you are below 40% health, and watch your health go from almost dead to nigh full health.

Voice Over Quotes

These are the voice over quotes repeated by Arthas when the player clicks on him multiple times.

”Frostmourne yearns.”

“You will all serve me.”

“I rule.”

“Hail to the King, baby!”

“I am one cold brother.”

“Darkness, stop calling. It’s alright, though. We are still friends through Real ID.”

“I’m afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy.”

“No man can defeat me. Although, 10 to 25 might do the trick.”

“If you think I’m powerful now, you should see my abilities in Heroic mode.”

“I’m looking for a few dead men with the cursed meddle to be death knights.”

“It’s Lich King, not Lick King. The two are very very different jobs.”

“All I want is to settle down with a Lich Queen of my own, and have some little Lichlings. Is that too much to ask?”

“Ever get the feeling you are hearing voices in your helmet?”

“You’d make an adequate ghoul. Mindless, and proficient at repetitive tasks.”

“The thing no one tells you about sitting on a Frozen Throne is how much of your flesh ends up stuck to it.”
