GamesCom 2014 – Heroes of the Storm – Chen Stormstout, Azmodan & Anub’arak Gameplay Video

Blizzard Entertainment provided Blizzplanet the Heroes of the Storm gameplay video showing the three new Heroes: Chen Stormstout, Azmodan and Anub’arak. We will upload soon the video interview with developer Kaeo Milker.

Video Frame Analysis

Azmodan casts his signature siege fireball. A large radius glyph can be seen on the ground as Azmodan casts it. (more after the break)

Azmodan is very good at destroying buildings with his massive AOE radius.

I found it curious to see some sort of minions attacking a Golem for Azmodan. I’ll try to find out if these are from a Hero Talent.

Azmodan has a concentrated fire beam in this frame and he is slowly destroying a barrack building with it; and apparently depleting building ammunition.

Anub’arak casts his signature spikes AOE in a straight line in front of him causing Chem Stormstout to fly upwards and land on his back.

Anub’arak has a 360 degree AOE similar to WoW Rogue’s Fan of Knives.

If you were annoyed by ETC, Diablo, Zeratul, Stitches or Nova ganking you — Anub’arak is going to put the F on “FEAR” for you. Anub’arak does something no other hero thus far is able to do. He can burrow and travel below doodads across the map to assault his target. Alright, Illidan, ETC and Falstad sorta can do something similar, but OMG … not like Anub.

Anub’arak Hero Talent can web-wrap a target in place, and send a swarm of scarabs to do damage.

Chen Stormstout is another new hero joining the ranks of Heroes of the Storm.

Chen has pants-down the best graphic-effects talent in the game. Look at this terrific fire breath courtesy of his brewmastery.

Definitely fun to see Chen throw his barrel and see it roll around knocking minions and… players. Reminds me a bit of Bowling.
